LESSON 8- ANYTHING YOU SAY CAN BE USED AGAINST YOU...

Don't let them record your statement on video. If you are like me, you may have to take a valium to talk about what happened. Even if you have a Secret Security Clearance with the FBI - the Prosecutor could say, they said she took the drugs, after all, look at her in her interview recording. Not to mention, your rapists may even watch you pouring your guts out on video. I received cyber bullying after all my evidence (including emails to the States Advocate) went to the defense. They are allowed to know everything, but you are left in the dark, powerless and silent- you are nothing, but a witness. The state is the one going after them. I wish the state was the one that EXPERIENCED it - then maybe they would do something about it.

Don't Say

  • I had a crush on him
  • I would have liked to have sex with him eventually, I don't know why he raped me
  • We kissed and made out one night, I just said no to sexual intercourse

These are words that make idiots think you aren't as hurt by the rape, after all, you liked them...

Liking a man, then he rapes you...is comparable to a man liking a woman, then she kicks him between the leg; over and over again ...After all, he liked her, why is he so upset. Now afterwards ...every time he thinks about what happened, he gets kicked again... the pain of rape never goes away, you just learn to live with it (or not). Rape is violence taken out on your sexual anatomy...to bring you to the lowest form of humiliation...it is not sex.

YOU MAY HAVE MOMENTS OF INSANITY; ANGER, HATE, FRUSTRATION AND POWERLESSNESS (If this is a word) During these very frequent moments, be careful who you talk to. Things to NEVER say to counselors or law enforcement. Unless you are seriously planning to do this...(if you contemplate suicide- please contact the suicide hotline (link in left column - you can remain anonymous) never say as a figure of expression only...

  • I wish I was dead.
  • I thought about just ending it all.
  • I want them dead.
  • I’ll make them pay for what they did to me whether the court will or not
  • If they get off I’ll tell Buba, then they will pay....

By law they have to report you. You will have to talk to a police psychologist/ psychiatrist and if you have someone that thinks you are serious; they can lock you up longer than your rapist are locked up! You don’t even have to mean it. Remember what I told you... what you, “the victim” says, can and will be used against you without a court of law. You as a victim have NO rights!

You will feel like there is a scream inside of you waiting for you to release it, but you can’t, because once you start screaming- you don’t know if you will be able to stop. You want to tear them apart-You are engulfed in HATE even if this is so against your nature- you picture and relive the rape and feel like you can’t even stand the feeling of your clothes touching your body. You want to SCREAM they RAPED ME you IDIOT...but all You want is JUSTICE- not therapy! or both. Assume you won't get justice, so you don't grow to depend on it. Unless we get the amendment passed to MAKE prosecutors work for justice. I can assure you; in the system, a prosecutor may have a large ego. They will only respond to other "like" people. If you really want an answer, to what is going on- you need your own lawyer...

Say as little as possible about anything other than the attack itself. Don't say how you feel or what you were thinking during the attack or anything about you...just the attack itself; unless you know of a witness, another victim, or where other evidence is. The prosecutor is sizing you up at a time in your life you are at your worst. Remember, if you are a grown woman, they don't understand how it could be rape if you had any feelings for the one that raped you.
