LESSON 4-EVIDENCE ISN'T PROOF YOU WERE RAPED (ACCORDING TO THE SYSTEM) BUT IT WILL DEFINATELY BE HE SAID SHE SAID WITHOUT IT
- If you are afraid to call the police; they can take your statement and you can tell them you are not willing to press charges until you feel safe...be sure THE REPORT STATES YOU WERE IN FEAR.
- Also, be sure to get someone other than you (Victims Services or the police) to gather the Evidence.
- If you go to the hospital and say don't call the police; your report will say "Patient Denies Force". Be very specific with anything you say. Always check reports and records before you leave. If you go back later, they will deny what you really said (Florida Hospital did this to the victim - she said no police, they wrote, "Patient Denies Force" thankfully, she told the first nurse she saw at the urgent clinic as an outcry witness (even though this ASA waited a year to get her statement and lied about it) MAKE THEM CALL VICTIMS SERVICES-They can't call the police until you say they can.
- Save as much evidence as you can. If you are afraid to call the police, then call Victim Services near you. They can collect the evidence and they can't call the police unless you tell them they can. Rapist 1 made her get in the shower with him when they brought her home; to wash the blood off his and her body. She scrubbed as hard as she could. She could smell their urine, sweat, and beer... The blood was pouring out of her. She kept forcing it down the drain like it was going to make everything that happened clean again!!! As much as you want their disgusting DNA off your body- it is needed for the evidence. If you are able to not bathe or change clothes, it is important not to.
- If you are raped in a vehicle or somewhere not your home, leave you DNA in a finger print. If you aren't bleeding, lick your fingers and press them under a bed or seat, to prove you were there.
- First and foremost, try to stay alive, even if you wish you were dead. Your family will have a hard enough time knowing the awful things you just went through, but to know that was the last thing in your life - it would kill them to loose you like that.
- If you are brave enough to call the police, let them gather the evidence. They will tag and bag everything properly. Even if you watch all the forensic shows and know how to care for evidence, because it leaves question to the jury regarding the chain of evidence, if they say you bagged it yourself.
